Founded in 1985, the Market Street Brass Quintet is based in Frederick, Maryland. The group had its first few rehearsals at a location on Market Street, thus the name was born.  Although starting out as a practice group to fill our own musical outlet needs, we quickly became aware that there were needs & wants by the community and private individuals alike for artistically performed live music. The Market street Brass Quintet has strived to do that and more since 1985 from Annapolis, Washington, Mid Maryland and Mid Pennsylvania.

All of the members have music degrees along with extensive and varied performance experiences. From small combos, jazz & concert bands, orchestras and theater pits, the Market Street Brass Quintet members have almost done it all. All of this history makes the Market Street Brass a very versatile group with a repertoire from most musical periods & styles.  Be it a wedding or a retirement dinner, church service or business dinner; the Market Street Brass can be the answer to “How can we make this special?”

Check out samples of our music on the information page and find out how any event can be transformed into a “Memorable Occasion” with the addition of the Market Street Brass Quintet.
